“In this project, Prune and I wanted to highlight man's most important 'tool', his hands, which can be transformed into both a container for drinking and a cutlery for eating. As Darwin said, “Man could never have done it.” “Here it is our hands that are being photographed. In a family, a table service may come from ancestors from whom we have only received a photo and a few plates. Here our descendants will have the photo directly on their plate! We both live in New York and have created a community of artists who host large dinners every month. Everyone contributes their signature, everyone cooks together. The table is the nerve center where we share the taste for good things, the art of living well! With Prune we created our first joint exhibition “Toit et Moi” almost 10 years ago, at the very beginning of our history. These plates represent for us a logical and symbolic collaboration."
